Hold ‘em Poker Hand Trivia: Hands With Aces Or Kings

This is the second post in the four part poker hand nickname trivia series. In this post I will include hands with an ace and hands with a king. Obviously, I didn’t include every possible combination, nor did I include every possible nickname for the hands listed. I went with hands that weren’t so obscure that almost no one could solve them. Such as, what is the poker hand nickname for the A9?  See the bottom of this post for that answer.

Even at that, I think you will find these very challenging and if you get them all, you should probably be on the pro tour.  (assuming you can play and don’t just know trivia)

Hands with an ace :

A K  “____ ______” or “_______  ____________”

AK suited “____  ________  ___ __ _______”

A Q  “______ ________” or “________ ________”

A J  “_____________” or “__________” or “______________”

A T  “_________ _________”

A 8  “_______ _____ ______”

A 3  “____________ ___________”

A 2  “_______ _________”

Hands with a king:

K Q  “__________” or “__________” if it doesn’t hold up.

K J Suited “________”

K J Offsuit “_________” or “_________  _________”

K T  “________”

K 9  “__________” or “_____ __ ______” or “______”

K 8  “___________”  or “______”

K 3  “______ ______”

The A9 is called the “Jesus/Chris Ferguson” because Chris beat TJ Cloutier at the final hand of the 2000 WSOP main event holding A9 against Cloutier’s Ace-Queen.

Look for the answers in my next post. Good luck!
